GoodRec: price, features and alternatives

What GoodRec does

GoodRec runs pickup sports games, mainly soccer, volleyball and basketball, in cities across the US, Canada and Ireland. Players choose a game, book a spot in the app and turn up; the operator books the venue, supplies equipment and sorts teams on arrival. If someone drops out, GoodRec says it finds a replacement. Listed games show format such as 5v5, 8v8 or 9v9, indoor or outdoor setting, start time and a per-game price that varies by venue. The home page lists more than fifty cities including London and Dublin. Games are booked and paid for per session through the iOS and Android apps.

Best for: Adults wanting to join organised pickup soccer games solo or with friends in North American cities.
